Simple But Complex is currently accepting comic anthology submissions for our upcoming project, Twisted History. This call is open to comic artists and creators who can produce complete comics for consideration in a professionally published anthology.
This year’s theme, Twisted History, invites creators to take a real historical moment, figure, or era and reinterpret it through a supernatural, mythical, or eerie lens. The goal is creative transformation—start grounded in reality, then push into the unexpected.
Please note: this anthology does not accept script-only submissions. Entrants must be able to submit a fully completed comic that meets the requirements below.
Winners: One signed contributor copy.
All accepted contributors: Digital contributor copy.
At this time, contributors are not paid page rates for participation in this anthology. Compensation is provided through cash prizes, contributor copies, publication credit, and inclusion in a professionally distributed release.
Begin by completing the signup form. Once your comic is finished and ready for review, return to submit your final PDF.
